I am seeking a productive role with a team that creates, designs, develops and maintains Email and Mobile Marketing campaigns, Web applications, e-commerce Web sites, interactive media and other multimedia programs.
ExactTarget is a global Software as a Service leader serving the world's top brands. From email marketing, social media marketing, and campaign management, to mobile marketing and landing pages‚ we inspire and enable organizations of all sizes‚ industries‚ and locations to harness the power of cross-channel interactive marketing. I build and deploy email and sms campaigns, ensuring proper rendering across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, and ensuring correct personalization data. Working with other designers and writers, I consult with internal stakeholders and am responsible for many external ExactTarget communications to customers, partners and prospects, such as automated welcome series, billing confirmation, program alerts, newsletters, events, and more.
Finish Line is a leading athletic retailer specializing in brand name footwear, apparel and accessories with almost 700 stores across the country. Finishline.com is the largest selling store in the company with hundreds of thousands of visitors a day. We also have a very aggressive email marketing campaign sending focused marketing to over 2 million unique users a month. I design Web graphics, emails, flash pages, and more for www.finishline.com. During my time at Finish Line I have seen the site through 3 major design revisions and helped increase revenue through aggressive email campaigns, constant promo updates, Search Engine Optimization and other e-marketing initiatives.
I worked with companies to develop interactive educational systems from both the software and hardware perspectives. My development team included writers, designers, programmers, and audio/video engineers. My role was Project Manager and I participated as needed as designer, developer and quality control. Projects: Caboose Productions, The Brooks Group, Penn Life Insurance, Blackberry Press, MetroWear, WTHR.
Now called Bowen Technovation, this firm designs electronic media, production systems and presentation systems for museums, planetariums, and other educational venues. I was part of a small team of multimedia developers that put together audio and video programs, built and maintained Web sites, and trained clients on multimedia production software. I also maintained the production and network systems, and evaluated new systems for in-house use and client installation. One of our key projects included producing, engineering and installing the audio, video and network systems for the Indiana State Museum. Many of my daily activities included writing specs and quotes, producing audio/video programs for the planetarium/museum community and providing training/technical support for PC/Mac based software. Projects: Indiana State Museum, Office of the First Lady (Indiana), IMAX Theater at White River State Park.
ImaginationStreet was a design firm specializing in new media. Two of the larger projects were for Liberty Mutual Insurance and WOW Employers. For Liberty, I was the senior designer for a series of database-enabled Web sites. The WOW project included developing content, storyboarding, coordinating voice over talent for audio recording, and flash development for an online career Web site. In my spare time, I maintained the production network, data back-ups, and Web server. Projects: Montgomery Insurance Companies, WOW Employers, Cornerstone Information Systems.
AIT developed titles for the educational sector; one of their major projects was the Learning Odyssey. At the time it was the only interactive educational system that evaluated student performance, recommended curriculum and reported results. Each lesson followed every state’s standards and objectives at each grade level. I was one of the multimedia specialists and worked with the writers to turn their concepts into animated online classes. This position required a firm understanding of Web design, animation, audio, and video production.
The most exciting project was directing and compositing animations for the Indiana Farm Bureau’s “Exploring the Planet Pizza” production. This Emmy Award winning childrens video takes each of the popular ingredients of pizza and explores its origin. It features children explaining the farm-food connection. Other responsibilities included developing print, Web, and CD-Rom based marketing materials along with development of MPEG 1 and 2 video server solutions. Projects include: Indiana Farm Bureau, Indianapolis Colts, JT's Hand.
Digital Media was the nation’s largest provider of prepress training and employee skill certification. I honed many of my computer skills here, working on the Desktop to Press line of interactive training CD-Roms as a writer, animator, and audio engineer. I also did voice overs for learning modules and helped with product shipping and fulfillment.
